Tikal  is unique in the perfect combination of tropical forest and impressive Mayan ruins. For its great cultural and natural value was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1979). The park is located within the Maya Biosphere Reserve, the world's second largest tropical forest after the Amazon. The Tikal National Park is known for being the ideal place for bird watching place in the region have reported more than 400 species of birds and their observation is relatively easy.
Yaxha is located inside the National Park Yaxha - Nakum – Naranjo, 88 km from the island of Flores on route toward Belize border.  
Yaxha National Park have reported more than 40 species of mammals, 14 of amphibians, 45 of reptiles, 22 of fishes and 150 bird species.

--What you can expect—

DAY 1:
Before down  begin the travel to the north-east to visit the ancient city of Yaxha,  located   on Yaxha Lake 80 Km far away from the  island  of Flores. We will spend the morning birding around the site.  After lunch transfer to Tikal .  Overnight at a lodge inside the Park.

DAY 2:
Early morning breakfast at the hotel, then off to explore the ruins of Tikal to cover more of the forest and to seek out species not seen before.  Lunch in the Lodge, followed by continued exploration until sundown in Tikal. Overnight at a lodge in Tikal National Park.

DAY 3:
The archeological zone of Tikal is large, magnificent and worthy of additional exploration. Lunch in the Lodge .  Afternoon transfer to Flores.  Overnight at a hotel at the island of Flores.
